Voices on Germany RUSH
What the participants say about the premiere of the Germany RUSH 2017
“It’s fascinating to me how quickly strangers can become friends! Cycling and also cycling far I can always and everywhere. It’s the look in the faces of others, the sense of community, the “we’re doing this together” that makes such a RUSH event so appealing to me. This feeling remains deep inside and probably for all time! This sounds pathetic, but I feel great gratitude that I was able to have these experiences!“
Alexander Giese, VIENNA
“We are Family! The Germany RUSH was one of the best sports experiences ever for me. To cycle with such great people who looked not only at success but first and foremost at cohesion. Sure, it hurt quite a bit in between. But all the pain was forgotten when the finish line was in sight, I could have cried with happiness.“
Harald Lochner, HOLLERSBACH
“The Germany RUSH was certainly a borderline experience for me. In terms of distance and condition, but also because of the constantly changing weather – the five days were one big emotional roller coaster. I believe that this can only be achieved at all through cohesion in the group. HP and his team did an insanely good job – looking forward to the series next year!“
Reinholf Doblinger, RIED
“The course was the biggest cycling challenge for me so far. The experience that you can overcome holes like motivation lows, hypoglycemia and pain and even after 200 daily kilometers you can experience a high again, that is an unbelievable enrichment from which I will live on for a long time. The feeling of having completed the challenge together as a team is insanely beautiful and creates a very special bond with the other participants. What remains? Not only did I make the RUSH, but I also made new friends.“
Kerstin Quirchmayr, VIENNA
“Actually, it’s completely crazy. You’re on the road with 16 others, sitting in the saddle all day, rolling sometimes in front, sometimes behind, chatting sometimes with one, then again with the other – and after eight hours you’re suddenly there. It’s like you’re on a collaborative cycling trip. In addition, the many different landscapes and the people along the way – for me, the RUSH is unique.“
